Words

Well I just spent the last hour maybe hour and a half "bantering " back and forth with an anon over at veritavenom's blog. the usual happen it called us sad and said that we amused it. And asked if we hate msi why do we look up things about it? Why are we obsessed?

Because you should now your "enemy" . Know what you are talking about before you open your mouth. Or type your words. And I did prove that to the anon. The discussion turned to some words that msi and Gerard Way( he supports that band so he has to support them using those words)believe to be okay to say. One being a word beginning with an n. It is what some people call black people (namely that anon)the other being one that starts with an f. A term some call gay people.

Back and forth we went Kapu and Cupcake( not sure if it is the cupcake from mayo's) came and helped. The anon tried to tell us that people in other countries don't get upset over words like we do here in America.

See this is why you should know about your "enemy". Back in 2006 Tiger Woods got into some trouble for using the word spaz. I told the anon this. I had to be wrong. But I proved my point by finding a blog that talked about and the news article.

Than the anon went after my spelling and grammar. What always seems to happen when I prove a point or the anon wants out of the discussion. Nothing new same as always. Learn to spell and use grammar if you want to continue to talk to me.

After a few more words the anon left calling me a nigger on their way out. Stating that it was done to prove a point.

That point being that some people that listen to msi think it is nothing but them showing their humor to call a person a nigger.

Words are things that should not ever lose their meaning. Fall out of use I can accept that but getting rid of the meaning of a word isn't the way to deal with people who are racist or bigoted. Because taking away the meaning is what you do to make others feel better when they have said something they shouldn't have. I changed the last letter of it so it was with love. You call each other that all the time why can't I. Is another tactic that is used.

But in the end it is all about make some one else feel better for saying it.

I use words like bitch and whore a lot. Not because they have no meaning but because they have a very powerful meaning. That can't be changed. Much like what I was called last night.

It would be nice if we could take back that word and make it mean something. But that will never happen because some people feel that everyone should use it. It isn't a word that used to describe a human being. It is a word use to describe one group of human beings because of the color of their skin. And I don't want every little Tom, Dick, Harry, Nanny and Sue using that fucking word.

It isn't about fucking political correctness as some would like you to believe it is about showing respect. If I call you a name it is because I have no respect for you.

And that is what it all comes down to respect.

Hey Martha, how are you? I just read your post and I can't believe, well, I can, but I shouldn't have to, the ignorance showed by some people. Just because your "new fav band, because GW married one of them" choses to degrade others doesn't make it right to ACT or talk like them. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

You are 1,000 times better than that person, and don't ever forget it.

Love ya,
L.

Sorry, that first comment was me. I read over it AFTER I posted and realized I left out an entire sentence!

L don't worry about mistakes. They happen. I am finding that in this situation I am really more pissed off at GW than that anon right now.

I have been wondering if he is just as ignorant as msi and there fans. He said he has been a fan of them for years. He knows that they have said that word and that their fans would say it as well. I already gave up Mcr. I will no longer support that band. But this makes me think even worse about GW than I already did.

Hi Martha! I'm so sorry to hear about what happened at Verita's blog. :(

Yes, some people are simply despicable, heartless, bigoted and just plain MEAN!

I bet that "person" (and I use the term loosely) would not have aproblem excepting some of your blood or an organ from you, if his/her life depended on it! Nope, I bet the color of your skin and your ancestery wouldn't matter a bit, then!

I hope you're okay. Don't let it get you down.

Hugs and Much Love,
Wendy

Martha, I agree with everything you said here. That crap-ass punk is a bigoted loser and you'll notice they remained anonymous.

The difference between calling one person a "bitch" or a "whore" is that this represents your opinion on one person and has nothing to do with into what gender or race they were born. A personal insult is different from hate speech that people use against a specific gender, race, or creed.

I'm still sorry that that ignorant jackass used that as a parting shot. I'd love nothing more than to punch him or her right in their stupid face.

I can't say that I wouldn't want to do that either. Just because that is the only thing someone like that would feel.

Thank you

I am just so sick of people thinking it is alright to use that word because rappers use it or other black people. I am not going to use the word f@&&ot just because I hear guy people using it. How I am a straight women going to doing anything to make that word less offensive by saying it. It isn't something that has meaning for me personally. Besides being offensive to a person I might know.

Hey Martha

Thanks for stopping by my blog but thanks were not necessary. You're my friend Martha and when something that is vile and hurtful gets said to you it hurts me too.

Take care and hope to talk more to you soon.

You're welcome, Martha. But like Elena said, you are our friend, and we will gladly defend you.

Hope you are having a good day!

Love ya,
L.
